Our campaign continues - people in crisis still need you
This month, your gifts were matched by a generous donor, meaning twice the amount of food, shelter and support for people in crisis this winter.
Together, we met our target, raising over £100,000! With our matched funding campaign, this means we’ve raised over £200,000 for people in crisis.
While donations are no longer being matched, your support is still urgently needed. Around the world, families and communities are facing unimaginable hardship. Emergencies in places like Gaza, Ukraine and beyond have left families without proper shelter, at risk of disease and struggling to get enough food to survive.

We are working tirelessly in the UK and abroad to provide vital support like shelter, food, water and medicine to people in desperate need.
But we can’t do it alone. These emergencies are becoming more and more severe and people face incredible hardship as winter and cold weather sets in. They urgently need your help.

How matched funding works
At the British Red Cross, we are fortunate to have several generous supporters who choose to donate to our work through matched funding initiatives, knowing their donations will be doubled to help even more people in crisis.
This winter, we have one incredibly generous donor who has agreed to match public donations to this campaign up to a total of £100,000.
For you, this means:
- All one-off gifts received through this campaign (excluding Gift Aid) will be matched until 23:59 on 30 November 2025, or until the match limit of £100,000 is achieved, whichever comes first.
- Gifts received from 1 December 2025 or beyond the match limit won't be matched.
Having now reached our target of £100,000, gifts beyond the match limit won't be matched, but will still be greatly appreciated.
